Who told the world for the first time that COVID-19 had become a pandemic?
the news.
Who notified the world that Princess Diana had tragically passed away?
the news.
The news has become such a big part of modern life, humanity would be lost without it. Everyday we learn something from the news. The media keeps us connected, as it advances further into high technology. Like everything, journalism has its pros and cons, however i believe that the world could not function without it. Before technology, information and stories were shared through literature, music and words. Countries were still very isolated from each other, but people from all cultures had this in common, everyone had stories to tell and information to give out. This style of story-telling was early day journalism. Only people with curious minds found themselves amongst the most adventurous and fantastic of stories. Journalism is for all who seek it.

It is vital that our journalism remains completely unbiased.
The consequences of two different news stations portraying the same story in two different ways, have caused so much unnecessary anger. The news is supposed to give us the facts in a clear and concise way, with absolutely no political agenda behind it. Political bias is EVERYWHERE! You don't even realise it when you're reading a simple story about a dog that went missing, but when something big happens, it becomes clear as day. News stations claim to bring you the raw truth, yet you end up with the twisted truth wearing a political mask. It is important to research multiple site before jumping to conclusions about an article. In most cases, you will find that the story isn't exactly how one news site tried to make you believe.
